Create a lifetime of memories for you and your wedding guests at Leeds Castle. Surrounded by 500 acres of parkland and gardens, Leeds Castle is an idyllic setting for the most romantic of weddings in any season.
The castle and its magnificent grounds are owned by the Leeds Castle Foundation - a charitable trust established in 1974 by the castle’s last private owner, the Hon Olive, Lady Baillie. She, like so many other illustrious owners, fell in love with Leeds, and its care and conservation became her life’s work.
A choice of venues within the castle and its grounds combine to create the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony and celebrations. From your initial enquiry to the great day itself our service is tailored to meet your specific wishes and ensure that your wedding day is perfect.
The Library, Dining Room and Maiden’s Tower are all licensed for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies. A choice of impressive settings is also available for your reception – from banquets in marquees on the lawns, to small intimate gatherings of family and friends in the castle.
Leeds Castle offers a host of finishing touches including musical entertainment and stunning flower arrangements prepared by the castle’s florist, along with wines and champagnes from the castle’s extensive Norman cellars. And when it comes to photographs, Leeds Castle, set in the valley of the River Len in the heart of the Garden of England, must be unrivalled for its spectacular scenery and backdrops.
The Castle
Set in 500 acres of beautiful parkland, a visit to Leeds Castle in the garden of England is full of discovery. Open all year round, its special blend of heritage and history, glorious gardens, attractions, programme of events, and licensed restaurant make it the perfect choice for a day out.
Visitors are transported through the castle’s history; an eclectic mix of period architecture, with sumptuous interiors and family treasures.
Swans glide on the moat and waterways, peacocks wander through the grounds and birds of prey soar in the wind during our Falconry displays.
The gardens offer continuous colour throughout the year. From a mass of spring bulbs and wild flowers in the Wood Garden, through fragrant herbs and roses in the quintessentially English Culpeper Garden, to late flowering borders in the drought-resistant Mediterranean Lady Baillie Garden.
Conferences, meetings, weddings and banquets can also be arranged in the castle and other areas on the estate.
Leeds Castle is not just a museum but also a place where people meet and special events bring the grounds to life. There is also a 9 hole pay and play golf course, offering stunning views of the castle, with challenging holes.
