If you will be relying heavily on the help and support of your bridesmaids, then you might be asking yourself how to organise everything with them, how to delegate work to them without giving them too many tasks, and you might even be wondering what duties are typically carried out by the bridesmaids and which are not.
You should inform your bridesmaids that you want them to be part of your wedding as soon as possible so that they can mentally prepare themselves for all the work ahead. Make sure they are all updated about the planning of the wedding. Communication is key!
Martha Stewart's advice is this: Send out a letter complete with all the fine points they will need to know: Begin by listing the names, addresses, and phone numbers of all the bridesmaids (they will be thankful when it comes time to plan the shower). Also include a photograph of the bridesmaid dress, a swatch of the fabric, any information about fittings, and a photo or sketch of the bridesmaid shoes. Finally, a few fond words from the bride will make them feel special -- as all bridesmaids should.
How have you been working with your bridesmaids? Positive or negative experiences?
