what kinds of games are traditionally played at weddings, if any at all? Just thinking of something that can keep everyone entertained in the event that things get a little dull!!!

Yep tricky one , which probably depends on what time of the day your guests have to mill around,! We are having our ceremony in June, followed by a reception in our local village hall, which has a small grassed area, where I was thinking of having giant Jenga, and other garden games, after the reception and before the evening guests arrive they will still be on hand to play with! We are also having a Photo Booth with dress up items - and a video diary room!
During the sit down reception I have made Activity books for the 20 children we have in attendance and I have also got the Weding Trivia cards for the tables for the adults to get them talking! I got mine from Hobbycraft, they come in packs of 4! about 7 pounds!
Hope this helps!

Be careful Amy! Usually the bouncy castle company insurance states age limits - so you shouldn't be able to have adults and children on the bouncy castle at the same time. There's a much higher risk of injury if you allow kids & adults to mix.
I agree with Paula because she is telling right.

I find that people are happy just chatting and seeing people they haven't seen for ages. I never been to a wedding where the guests seem bored. (I'm a photographer, so I attend lots of weddings!)
Bubbles go down well at every wedding, the kids love them and the adults join in too.
If you decide on a game, make it something optional. A silly one like pin the veil on the bride might work well.

One thing I'm doing is putting out crayons for the children to be entertained, with some colouring books. Because the children who are coming are very little, so I don't need to worry about older children (thank god!). For the adults, I think having a good DJ will be enough.

I don't know but it's a good question. I also would like some ideas to get my guests involved somehow in the wedding festivities. Thought of hiring a caricaturist to draw everyone, then at the end put them around the room, and eveyrone has to find themselves. could be funny and fun.
