Beech Hill Hotel

The Beech Hill is located in the heart of England's beautiful Lake District National Park. Set into the hillside on the eastern bank of Lake Windermere, Britain's largest lake, you will find unrivalled panoramic views across the Lake to the Cumbrian Fells beyond. Weddings

Of all the events in life there is probably nothing more memorable and important than your wedding day. The Beech Hill provides all of the ingredients, adding individuality and charm to your special day. Our professional, caring staff are on hand at all times to make sure your big day is simply perfect.

Ceremony

Our beautifully refurbished Langdale Suite, with its floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Lake, will be the setting for your ceremony. We are able to assist you with music, readings and room decoration during your ceremony, please ask for details. Our maximum capacity is 120.

Drinks Reception

Following the ceremony we move through into the lounge, during the winter months, or onto the gardens during Summer for your drinks reception and photographs. The are plenty of locations both inside and out for stunning photographs, most with the Lake as your backdrop. We have a number of drinks reception options however they're purely suggestions and almost anything is possible on request.

Lake Cruises

Why not take a cruise on the Lake as an unusual extra to your day. Following your drinks reception and photographs, you will be taken down to the hotel's private jetty where you can take a 1 hour cruise around the Lake. Cruises take place on board beautiful mahogany boats with brass fittings, that can carry up to 35 guests. Should your party be larger than this two cruises can be booked simultaneously.

You may take drinks on board the boats as there is no corkage charge though you will need to provide your own wine and plastic glasses (for safety reasons, glassware is not allowed on board) or you can choose wine from our wine list and we will provide the plastic glasses and a waiter for service on board.

Evening Reception

Your evening reception also takes place in our beautiful restaurant and offers a private bar, dance floor and staging if required. We will be pleased to assist in booking any entertainment on your behalf and can provide sample CD's for all singers and bands. Buffets are also available.

Burlington's Restaurant

The rich farmlands of Cumbria provide abundant produce of which The Beech Hill's kitchen makes full use. The hotel is actively involved with the annual Taste of Cumbria Food and Drink Festival - an entertaining showcase for the gourmet delights available from the county. Dinner in the Burlington's Restaurant, with its award winning food, service and Lake views from almost every window, is the highlight of any stay at The Beech Hill. Saturday evenings are particularly enjoyable as guests are entertained by a jazz quartet or pianist.

The hotel has held 2 AA Rosettes for a number of years and has consistency in producing cuisine of a high standard.

Our Rooms

The Beech Hill Hotel is built into the hillside over 7 levels so that the majority of our rooms have lake views and lead out onto terraced gardens or private balconies.
