Originally built between 1615 and 1636 by Ranulph Crewe, this grade I listed building was largely rebuilt in 1866 after a fire to a design by architect Edward Barry, also known for Covent Garden Theatre and Charing Cross station. With its exquisite marble fireplaces, ornate plasterwork, carved wood and stained glass windows, the elaborate décor and architecture make quite an impression and a glorious backdrop to many a wedding and celebration.

Bedrooms
Your one private slice of heaven awaits behind your hotel room door. Our guest rooms are, quite literally, fit for a King. 24 deluxe rooms and suites and 2 standard rooms reside in the grand old Jacobean hall. Each is individually designed and furnished with antiques, including 11 original 4 poster beds with rich drapes. In stark contrast to this period splendour, but no less splendid, are the 91 rooms in our contemporary west wing, including 12 deluxe rooms, connected to the main hall by a glass link. These uber modern rooms are also individually designed and utterly striking, with subtle tones and the odd splash of drama.
Dining
Food is something we take very, very seriously at QHotels and every dish, from simple scrambled eggs to the most exquisite pan-fried fillet steak has more than a little je ne sais quoi. Our menus have been devised by our top chefs and whether you eat in our 2 AA rosette winning Ranulph Restaurant or the more informal, but equally stunning Brasserie with one AA rosette, your taste buds will love you forever.
The Ranulph restaurant
In the extravagant and opulent main hall, this extraordinary restaurant's décor and furnishings are quite amazing; not least its privately commissioned, hand-painted wallpaper bearing the Crewe Hall Crest.
If you think you can't take your eyes off the setting, wait until you see the menu, devised around classic dishes, given an extra special Crewe Hall twist.
