We are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies - both candlelit indoors in the Great Hallor outdoors in our beautiful sandstone gazebo - renewal of vows and baby naming.

The hotel’s stunning interior and beautiful gardens will ensure your wedding photographs and video will provide an unforgettable memento of your day.

We'd also be more than happy to help relieve some of the pressure by assisting with the planning of your big day. We can assist with the wedding cars, recommend photographers, organize the floral arrangements and even commission a wedding cake.

An imaginative selection of English and Continental haute cuisine, prepared by our executive chef and team, is complemented by a choice of over 100 fine wines from the first-rate cellar.

As part of the extensive restoration and redevelopment programme, thirteen superb bedrooms and suites have been created, including our magnificent Knight of the Shires suite.

Each has its own unique character; each is individually furnished to the very highest standards with sumptuous fabrics and bedlinen, the finest hand-picked furniture, the most comfortable beds and pillows, LCD TV with digital and film channels, broadband internet access and wireless LAN capability throughout the building and grounds.

All bathrooms enjoy the finest quality fittings and are decorated floor to ceiling with specially imported marble and granite tiles. Suite bathrooms have a 2-person air bath, separate shower and LCD TV .
