Civil Ceremony

The hotel is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and it is therefore possible for the full wedding celebration up to 80 guests, dressed with exquisite chair covers and coloured bows to match your colour theme.

Wedding Reception

The hotel also offers the trademark Hotel du Vin bistro, private courtyard, intriguing Laroche tasting room and cigar shack.

We also have two private rooms for you to choose from: The Shipyard and The Bridge

The Shipyard

The Shipyard is the largest of our private rooms, it can accommodate one banquet table and seats up to a 22 guests or 40 guests set for a ceremony. Among its many features are exposed brickwork, an abundance of natural daylight, original art and a stunning 'wine-glass' chandelier.

The Bridge

The Bridge is an intimate room that accommodates one banquet table and seats up to 10 people for a meal or 16 for a ceremony. This room is located next to the Bistro which overlooks the majestic courtyard.

Bistro

Our fantastic bistro can seat up to 80 guests (or 1 side can be set for upto 40). The layout of the bistro is very informal and must be seen. You can see the wines cellars from all parts of the bistro which houses up to 300 bottles of wines and our Laroche tasting room. On one section of the bistro you can see our team of chef's do what they do best, cook and prepare all our food through our open plan kitchen. On the other section you have splendid views of our outside decking area and the River Tyne.

Services

We can offer a three, four or five course menu including coffees and chocolate truffles and can cater for children and any guests with special dietary requirements.

We have over 300 wines in our cellars and our chef sommelier would be delighted to recommend wines to accompany your chosen menu within your budget. In summer months your drinks receptions can be served in our courtyard.

A selection of cigars chosen from our humidor can be presented and enjoyed by guests in the cigar shack.

Accommodation

The hotel consists of 42 timelessly styled bedrooms and stunning suites, all of which feature hand sprung mattresses, fine Egyptian linen, CD & DVD player, fluffy robes, deep baths & monsoon showers.
