Ivy House Country Hotel

Tucked away down a leafy driveway nestling beside Oulton Broad. Ivy House County Hotel is a mixture of sympathetic conversion of farm buildings and new buildings in the vernacular. Attention to detail is evident at every turn from replicating different styles of brick work to ensuring guests' individual needs are cheerfully met.

We are able to offer a venue for just a civil ceremony or a full exclusive package to include use of our extensive grounds

Set in four acres of Country gardens and lily ponds it is a beautiful setting for your photographs.

The Crooked Barn, an 18th century thatched barn can seat up to 80 guests for a formal Wedding Breakfast and up to 120 guests for an evening function.

We offer a varied Wedding Breakfast menu for you to choose from and an extensive wine list. We have been awarded two AA Rosettes for cuisine for three consecutive years.

We have three venues available for a civil ceremony, The Garden Suite, The Hawthorn Suite and The Crooked Barn.

The hotel offers 19 bedrooms, including 8 executive garden and farmhouse rooms we are happy to offer a discounted tariff for guests wishing to stay for more than one night.

The Crooked Barn Restaurant

Since opening in 1996 The Crooked Barn has become renowned for its excellent standard of cuisine and its amazing setting in an eighteenth century thatched barn - heavily beamed yet bright and sunny.

The Gardens

The buildings are surrounded by gardens and the broadland countryside.

There is a large garden with its intertwining herbaceous beds and lily ponds for guests to enjoy. Imagine relaxing in the summerhouse with a Pimms watching a Kingfisher!
