One of the finest traditions to be found in England is that of the country house. Newick Park
The lovely Georgian house is Grade II listed and is surrounded by its own private park of 255 acres, which means it enjoys complete peace and privacy, together with the most fabulous views over the lake and nearby South Downs. Each of the sixteen bedrooms is individually designed, some with four poster beds, others with some of the widest beds you will ever sleep in.
Whatever the reason for your visit, whether it is for a meeting, wedding or short break, once you have experienced the unique atmosphere of Newick Park you may find it hard not to return.

Wedding Ceremonies
Wedding ceremonies can take place both inside the house and outside on the Terrace. We are one of the very few venues in Sussex that can offer you a ceremony in the open air, where you and your partner will stand with the backdrop of our beautiful loggia, overlooking the lake and the South Downs. Your family and friends are seated on the Terrace and lawn, where they can be served Champagne the moment the ceremony is complete. No need to drive from one venue to the next, no worries about parking. Nothing to do but enjoy the day.

Our team of chefs will provide fabulous food for your party and our Head Chef is more than happy to listen to your suggestions to help create a unique occasion for you. You are entirely free to use the florist, photographer and cake maker of your choice, but we are here to help put you in touch with excellent local services if you wish, and our team will be here for every minute of your day to ensure everything is run exactly as you want it to be.

Most of our weddings are booked as exclusive use days, which makes the house feel just like your own home – you and your guests can really relax and enjoy yourselves with no worries about disturbing the neighbours!

Staying with us
Main House
Each of the thirteen en-suite double bedrooms in the Main House is completely different but all of them are superbly comfortable with fabulous views across our own parkland. Most of the beds are king-sized, two are four-posters and one bed is eight foot wide. All are made up with the finest Egyptian cotton linen, and have superbly comfortable mattresses. The bathrooms are equipped with fluffy towels and robes, Molton Brown toiletries and little candles to light for when you want that extra relaxing soak.
The Granary
We have three more double bedrooms in the Granary which is situated a two minute walk up the drive. Each has its own sitting room, and two enjoy direct access to a terrace and lawn.
Eating with us
Our Head Chef Chris Moore heads up a brigade of dedicated chefs who produce the most fabulous food, with much of our fruit and vegetables coming from our own organically run Walled Garden. Game comes from the estate during the winter months and all the food is sourced as locally as possible.
We are extremely proud to have been awarded our third AA Rosette, making us the only restaurant in East Sussex to hold this accolade, and one of the top 10% in Great Britain and Ireland.
