Rhos-Y-Gilwen Mansion, a Pembrokeshire country retreat, near Cardigan in West Wales, provides a unique venue for business meetings, conferences, seminars, family activity holidays, language-learning holidays and wedding receptions.

With it's sumprtuous rooms and romantic atmosphere, Rhos-Y-Gilwen Mansion and Gardens creates a perfect setting for your special day.
The Garden
The house of Rhos y gilwen is built in stone in the Victorian Gothic style. The front façade has been softened by small shrub borders and has a magnificent Jasmine climbing up one wall. The close environs of the house are planted with fine mature specimen Magnolia and Rhododendron, mixed with a screening hedge of Yew, underplanted with Narcissus and Cyclamen.
Across the orchard that is currently being renovated, the walled garden is reached through an area of grass meadow which is left uncut during the summer to encourage diversity of insects, particularly butterflies, and native flowers.
Accommodation
When furbishing Rhosygilwen Mansion's bedrooms, the owners have tried to ensure that whilst having up to date facilities, the tone of the Mansion is not marred in any way, and that the rooms reflect the comfort and grandeur of times gone by. Seven of our delightful rooms are en-suite, whilst the other two rooms share a very grand bathroom.
We are able to accommodate couples or individuals, family groups or business parties. You can hire one room, a suite of rooms, or the whole house for a house party with catering to suit your requirements! We are very flexible and are here to provide a Service for you, our guests!
If the numbers of guests staying at Rhosygilwen are small, then we would serve meals in the formal Dining Room. If the group is larger, guests would dine in the Conservatory or the Great Hall. We have a bar, and a small selection of wines for you to chose from as an accompaniment to your meals.
Catering for you
Whilst we do not open the Mansion as a Restaurant, our chefs have a first class reputation locally for the excellence of their cuisine at Functions and Receptions. They would be delighted to prepare meals for you to enjoy whilst staying at Rhosygilwen.

What is included in the menu? Menus are designed for individual functions and are not packages. We will do our best to accommodate format, style, likes and dislikes and budget. We are happy to do the catering for you or we have 3 recommended caterers available to you, who work along very similar lines as ourselves. No other caterers will be allowed to be used.
Is there a minimum number of guests required to contract a menu? No
What is the charge for not reaching the minimum? We might negotiate on the Hall Hire charge if under 50 guests are attending, but this would depend on time of year.

Form of payment: Deposit in advance - usually on reserving the date, and the balance the day of the wedding or if accommodated here, the morning after.
