Weddings

The Rose in Vale is different to many wedding venues in that it still feels like a home. The Rose in Vale enjoys an idyllic setting - beautifully surrounded by its own secluded 10 acres of established gardens and woodlands. With a stream teaming with trout running through it, it is an idyllic backdrop for the most romantic of occasions.

To ensure that your special day runs exactly as you have planned and imagined it to be we can offer you exclusive use of the whole Hotel for your wedding, whether this be for one or two nights. We limit the number of weddings held each year at the Rose in Vale so you can be sure that your Wedding will be special and exclusive in every sense of the word.

Wedding planning
From the very beginning, the owner of the Hotel, James Evans, will liaise directly with you. James will take responsibility for personally supervising the planning of your wedding.

There is a knack to organizing a wedding, it involves meticulous planning, attention to detail and a certain "spark" to bring everything to life. In the past we have employed a "Wedding Co-ordinator", this experience has taught us that the best way to ensure that your wedding goes exactly the way that you want it to is to arrange it directly with you.

We also feel that it is important that the person who has helped you to plan your wedding will be on hand throughout the day and evening function for you. We would welcome the opportunity to talk to you about organising a superb function tailor made to your requirements at the Rose in Vale.

Big or small
The weddings at the Rose in Vale vary tremendously is size. We recommend seating no more than 80 people in the Valley Restaurant, and up to 100 for the evening function. We can, and do, cater for numbers in excess of these figures, but this necessitates using a marquee in our grounds.

Exclusive use
As we offer "Exclusive Use", evening functions are not a problem. We feel that 100 people is sufficient in the House, if numbers exceed this level then we have found that our special homely country house feel seems to disappear.

Accommodation

There is a choice of eighteen bedrooms and suites, double, twin and single, all tastefully appointed and equipped to high standards. All are fitted with individually controlled central heating, television, radio, hairdryer, beverage tray and en-suite bathroom as a minimum. For the less able, there are three ground floor rooms with level access to the gardens, the pool and restaurant.
The Rose Suite, designed for the romantic at heart, or just for self indulgence, offers a queen-size four-poster bed, separate sitting-room, spa bath, walk-in shower and some special touches.

Dining

Your table is reserved for you in the Valley Restaurant, with a new varied menu every day you are assured of an excellent selection, and an interesting selection of wines. We have a policy of choosing locally produced foods whenever we can - fresh vegetables and meats from local farms, and other products from local sources. Fish and seafood are always special to the Rose-in-Vale and are often an addition to the normal menu each evening as the fresh catches are delivered. Vegetarian and special diets are easily catered for.

It is not just marvellous food and wine which go to make up a good dining experience. The Valley Restaurant enhances the ambience of the evening with its sweeping bay windows dressed in soft drapes, overlooking rose beds and lawns to wooded slopes beyond, candlelight after dark, fresh flowers and attentive service.
