The Borough Arms Hotel

The Borough Arms Hotel and Restaurant is one of the oldest established hotels in the Newcastle-Under-Lyme and Stoke-On-Trent areas, with history dating back to 1783. The hotel is very much of the style associated with a traditional English town centre coaching inn, yet has been sensitively and subtly refined to offer the comfort and modern standards demanded by today's visitors.

Weddings

Our function rooms are ideal for all kinds of family gatherings, from birthday parties to weddings.

With both rooms licensed for weddings, you may choose the most appropriate for your ceremony, then retire immediately to the other, for drinks and the wedding reception. The Ostler Restaurant may also be used for receptions. Should you wish to host a further party, the ceremonial room may be prepared for use after the traditional reception.

An attractive area of parkland is set directly opposite the hotel, with trees, shrubs and undulating ground levels offering a variety of creative opportunities for the photographer.

Catering for parties from 10 to 120 guests, we can provide you with everything you need to make your most memorable day your most enjoyable, too.

Function rooms

Both of our well appointed function rooms are licensed for Civil Wedding Ceremonies and the larger, King Room has a private bar.

King Room: The excellent proportions of the room lend themselves to a good choice of layouts for both business and social occasions. Lots of natural light adds an airy feel to the room, which may also be effectively darkened for film or AV presentations.

Seating Capacity : Theatre 90, Buffet 85, Dining 80

Baker Room: Smaller than the King Room,but large enough to offer flexibility of seating arrangements whilst retaining an air of intimacy. This room also enjoys the benefit of natural light while effective darkening may be employed for film or AV presentations.
