The Inn at Fossebridge

The Inn at Fossebridge in The Coln Valley is a beautiful Georgian, quintessential Cotswold country retreat, with wonderful accommodation, extensive grounds and fine food.

A splendid country pub hotel located 6 miles north of Cirencester in a dip on The Fosse Way, within an hour’s drive from Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Bristol & Bath. Cheltenham, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold & The Slaughters are a short distance away. You will also find many pretty hamlets and villages nearby which seem to look today as they did a few centuries ago.

Wedding Venue

The Inn at Fossebridge is the most perfect and romantic location for your Cotswold country wedding. Whether you are seeking a civil ceremony or a reception venue we are the perfect picturesque location.

We do not offer a set wedding package, as your special day is individually tailored to your requirements and overseen from start to finish by our wedding planner Samantha Jenkins. Our Head Chef Shane Woodley is available to help create your bespoke wedding menu. At The Inn at Fossebridge we pride ourselves in the ability to create your perfect day, with no compromise.

The Accommodation

For the wedding party, the hotel has 8 En Suite Georgian style rooms, consisting of 1 Four Poster Bridal suite, 5 Double Bedrooms, 1 Twin and 1 Family Room, offering comfortable accommodation for up to 16 adult guests as well as a self catering Lakeside Cottage in the grounds, for 10 guests. Our rooms are guaranteed for check in from 2.00pm and check out is by 11.00am on the morning of departure.

The Ceremony

The Inn has a special licence to hold civil ceremonies in the top garden room, licensed for up to 24 people seated for the ceremony (including the bride & groom) and 46 standing guests in the adjacent Bridge Room. Should you wish to marry at the Fossebridge you will need the attendance of a Superintendent Registrar of the District to register the marriage.

The Wedding Breakfast

The private dining room and the Bridge Room can be used separately or as one room, they offer the perfect ambience for a smaller wedding reception. Their large windows overlook four acres of lawns at the heart of which is the beautiful lake; the haunt of swans, kingfishers, Herons and all manner of wildlife.

For the wedding breakfast the Private Dining Room can seat up to a maximum of 20 guests and The Bridge Room can seat up to a maximum of 40 guests. Our Head Chef, Shane woodley will be very happy to create a bespoke menu. Sample menus are included in the wedding pack outlining the options available, from a seated wedding breakfast to a Finger or Fork Buffet.

Bespoke Marquee

To accommodate larger number of guests a marquee can be arranged in the stunning grounds overlooking the lake for 50 to 150 people. Costs vary according to your individual needs.

Flowers

Should you like floral decorations to suit your colour scheme we will be delighted to discuss this with you.

Music

There are several options concerning music for the ceremony and wedding reception, from a string quartet or harpist. We are able to arrange a disco or live music up until midnight if you have exclusive use of the hotel rooms and Lakeside Cottage.

The Jenkins family have paid great attention to detail in choosing elegant carpets, wall coverings and the furniture. They also have an exceptional ability to lay out a room in all sorts of configurations to suit the specific needs of guests.

As a wedding venue it is perfect… celebrate a smaller wedding within the private dining rooms, or a larger event in the grounds. A marquee set in the Cotswolds landscape and overlooking the lake, trees, streams and the River Coln is a stunning setting.

The Inn

The two traditional Cotswold bars and integral restaurant (one with a dart’s board and stag’s head), are located in the oldest part of the building, divided by stone archways.

They are a wonderful retreat, rustic and cosy, with flagstone floors, beamed ceilings, two open log fires, a log burning stove and mellow Cotswold stone walls.

The hotel’s enthuisiastic Head Chef and his team create high quality food which they describe as the best in pub food.

Enjoy local ales, fine wine and good food, combined with high levels of comfort and service.

The daily special’s board and creative dining menus offer dishes using fresh, local and seasonal produce, from light lunches, Fossebridge Classics to hearty main courses.
