The Priory Bay Hotel

The Island Room

The Island Room offers fine dining in the most elegant surroundings. In addition to the A la Carte menu there is a six course tasting menu. The menus change with the availability of seasonal produce and Carlos creates daily specials to extend the choice.

This glorious Regency dining room has murals of local views copied from Brannon prints and gilded plaster and paint work. It was decorated in 1810 by the Crace Brothers who had recently completed the Prince Regent’s spectacular Brighton Pavilion.

For the summer there are views over the grounds to the sea and in winter warmth and intimacy are enhanced by the wood fire with its delightful chimney piece.

Embrace the thought ... A Country House Wedding by the sea. Relax, assured that this romantic and historic location is the perfect backdrop for your wedding with a range of reception and dining rooms which can accommodate from 40 to 200 guests.
In addition to spectacular views of the bay, beautiful gardens, delightful woodland walks, and our own private beach, our staff will do everything to make it a day never to be forgotten from arrival to departure by car, helicopter, hovercraft or RIB.

The Island Room, our gilded regency dining room is perfect for the civil ceremony. This has standing room for up to 80 and is also the ideal room for a smaller more intimate wedding breakfast of 20 to 50 persons. the Priory Oyster...a stylish, yet informal setting and its own canopied 'al fresco' terrace with views of the splendid grounds and sea beyond.

The Priory Bay can accommodate up to 75 people, subject to configuration of numbers.
Rooms can be selected from either the hotel, tithe barns or self-catering in the cottages in the grounds.
