The Traddock

The Traddock is a Georgian country house set in magnificent surroundings in the village of Austwick in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The village itself is enclosed by spectacular scenery, with the parish church just round the corner. This is a family run hotel, with a relaxed and homely atmosphere which offers a perfect venue for your wedding reception (we are not licensed for civil weddings on the premises.)

Each of our twelve ensuite bedrooms is individually styled and offers those little extra touches for guests’ comfort and relaxation.

We do not offer ‘packages’ for weddings, preferring to personalise your day to your needs. Having exclusive use of the hotel on the day of your wedding offers you, your family and friends a relaxing and personalised stay, with little touches and personal service to make it a very special day tailored to your needs. Experienced help is on hand to advise you on menus, wine, flowers, entertainment, and any other details.

About The Traddock Hotel Yorkshire

The Traddock Hotel Yorkshire is a small family run business, dedicated to offering our guests the best the Yorkshire Dales have to offer. Top quality produce and cooking, warm welcoming hospitality and a relaxing and homely place to rest and recharge.

Owned and run by the Reynolds family since November 2002, the hotel is a work in progress. Over the last 9 years the hotel has seen much renovation and improvement. The focus is on making the most of the beautiful Georgian and Victorian rooms and creating a comfortable and spacious place to base yourself while exploring the Dales region.

The kitchen team of four is run by Head Chef John Pratt. His passion being on sourcing and preparing the finest foods found on our door step. We have partnered with many local artisan producers who provide high quality products with pride and dedication. Our focus is on providing the best local, seasonal and organic dishes inspired by traditional English slow cooking.

We recognise that what can set us apart from other hotels is the quality of staff we employ, and how we train, develop and motivate them. We are very proud of our professional team of excellent local and international staff who are at the heart of what we do. As a family business we have strived to make The Traddock a fun, friendly but demanding place to work and we hope this shows.

We strongly believe in minimising our impact on the environment and have many ethical and recycling policies that reduce our impact and help our local community.
