Civil Wedding Ceremonies

Why not have your wedding ceremony and reception at Weetwood Hall?

A civil wedding ceremony allows you flexibility if you want something different to suit your personalities. Weetwood Hall offers a stylish alternative to the traditional church or registry office, with both the Jacobean and Weetwood rooms in the original Manor House licensed to host civil wedding ceremonies.

The Jacobean Room seats up to 78 and the Weetwood Room 54. If the anticipated numbers for a ceremony exceed that of the Jacobean Room, it is possible, with the wonders of modern technology and a plasma screen to link to the Weetwood Room to allow the extra guests to witness the ceremony.

The fees for the registrar’s attendance are set by the local authority and may depend on the day of the week you wish to marry. The registrar should be booked and paid for directly through Leeds Registry Office, as soon as provisional arrangements have been made.

Please note that the Superintendent Registrar can only permit a civil, non-religious ceremony. Any music, readings or performances, which form part of the ceremony, must be agreed with the Superintendent Registrar who will be attending the ceremony.

Asian Weddings

Weetwood Hall is a delightful venue for hosting Asian wedding receptions and pre-wedding events such as; Mehndi parties and Sangeet nights.

They are permitted to host a civil ceremony alongside your religious ceremony and a registrar can be booked directly via the Leeds Registry Office, please ask for details on how many can be seated for this event.

Aagrah Restaurants are our partners who will enhance your guests' culinary experience and provide the very best in authentic Asian cuisine offering a three course meal. They can also cater for various faith groups and special dietary requirements.

Weetwood Hall's wedding coordinator will also ensure that your reception is tailored to meet your requirements for your important day.

The wedding reception would be hosted in the Woodlands Restaurant which seats up to 190 people allowing for a top table for up to fourteen guests. Space for you to be able to supply a stage for the bride and groom has also been allowed.

Set within nine acres of woodland and gardens with an attractive 17th Century Manor House, Weetwood Hall's grounds offer a great opportunity to capture photographs in an idyllic setting on your special day.
