Avington Park

Avington Park is a private home which lends itself for a variety of corporate functions as well as the most spectacular parties. It was transformed in the late 17C for Charles II to come and stay, and therefore the rooms were laid out for entertainment.

Weddings

From the grandest wedding to a small intimate gathering, Avington Park provides a stunning setting for your wedding or reception. This beautiful and imposing family home has been granted a licence to hold civil wedding ceremonies, enabling the bride and bridegroom to enjoy their wedding and reception at the same idyllic venue. At Avington we only offer exclusive use, so it really is yours for the day.

Approach through wrought iron gates, down the lime tree avenue alongside the River Itchen and sweep round to the elegant façade. Guests may be greeted in the magnificently painted hall, where in winter, log fires will offer a warm welcome. In summer, extensive lawns provide a wonderful setting for a drinks reception before sitting down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast in the library.

The library can hold 175 guests for a drinks reception or 100 for a silver service wedding breakfast; for larger wedding parties a marquee may be used adjoining the library.

This glorious venue provides unique opportunities for photographs both inside and out - a photographer's dream!

Corporate Hospitality

Today’s corporate visitor can appreciate the peace and tranquillity of this elegant, historic house. The staterooms are magnificently painted and lead onto a unique pair of conservatories flanking the south lawns.

Avington Park is an ideal venue for a whole range of functions, from small private meetings to large corporate hospitality days, motor car launches & classic car rallies, Company dinners, conferences and promotions.

There are wide lawns and meadows for outside activities, beautiful rooms inside and a 9 hole golf course and trout fishing, a mere ½ mile away.

Access is particularly easy with the M3 just 10 minutes away, and the station a mere 6 miles. There is excellent in-house catering and plenty of car parking.
Everything is done to make things run smoothly and efficiently with the least amount of difficulty for the organiser, with the maximum amount of enjoyment for the client.

Accommodation

The East Tennyson Apartment
A spacious one bedroom apartment available for overnight accommodation or short term lets. It is furnished to a high standard and is very comfortable, overlooking lawns and grounds in a peaceful and secluded setting.

The West Tennyson Apartment
Stunning first floor two bedroom apartment with beautiful rooms and fantastic views available unfurnished for long lease.
