The beautifully restored 17th century thatched Essex Barn is an idyllic venue for your special day. Set in tranquil surroundings, with large outside areas, a fountain, an avenue of mature trees & a 4 Star Gold Award 14 bedroom lodge.

Whether you prefer a traditional church wedding or a more modern civil ceremony, the Essex Barn is the ideal venue for your special day.

The capacity for a civil Ceremony is 90 seated, & 130 for the wedding breakfast.

Alternatively we are licensed for the Trophy Room, a small venue for those intimate weddings. Capacity 20 maximum.

Church

From arriving after your church ceremony, your car will enter the courtyard & our Wedding coordinator will be ready to welcome you to Channels.

Its not long before you & your guests are invited onto the patio where canapés & refreshing welcome drinks are served. The back drop being a 20 ft fountain, stunning golf course views and attractive flowerbeds. The mature tree lined avenue also provides welcome shade on the hottest days, plus many options for your photographer.

Channels Lodge

Set in the grounds of Channels Golf Club, this beautifully converted 15th Century farmhouse is an ideal venue for wedding and conference overnight stays and, of course, golfing breaks.

The fourteen en-suite bedrooms have been individually designed and are equipped to the highest standards combining the best of the old with the best of the new, while Channels Restaurant is renowned for its excellent food and friendly service.

With two Honeymoon Suites, three suites and nine executive rooms, this small but luxurious hotel provides an atmosphere in which guests may work or relax with equal facility.
