A romantic Wedding Venue in Essex
Spains Hall is a breathtaking Grade. Historic country house, predominantly Elizabethan, within which you can hold your wedding ceremony.
Within the house, the magnificent Elizabethan Hall can seat up to 120 guests, while the Drawing Room and Dining Room are both available for smaller ceremonies. While there is under floor heating and a fully integrated audio system for your comfort and convenience, the rooms are decorated with family antiques, paintings and mementos to create a romantic yet historic setting.
We also have The Stables, which are a stunning, architect-designed conversion of the original 18th Century Dovecote and 19th Century Coach House. We can seat 130 guests and have a maximum capacity of 180 for dancing and evening entertainment.
You will have exclusive use of historic Spains Hall, the stunning modern Stables conversion or indeed a combination of the two.

The Tapestry Room is available to the bride and her entourage to prepare on her wedding day. The bedroom, with its historic 4 poster bed, has been beautifully restored. It has its own ensuite-bathroom with slipper bath and shower. With views over the gardens, it is a magical place to begin your wedding day preparations.
Overnight accommodation is available at two of the estate cottages: Crest Lodge (up to 6 guests including a double sofa bed) and North Lodge (up to 4 guests) are both situated within the grounds of the Estate. Enjoying views over the rolling Essex countryside, the cottages are very well-equipped, supremely comfortable and welcoming.
Perfect for a pampering girly evening complete with DVD's the night before your wedding day, and for your first night as husband and wife.
