Ideally situated on the Sussex, Surrey, Kent borders and less than one hour from London, Yew Lodge is steeped in history, with first references dating back to 959 ad. The house as it stands now was built in the late 1800’s and is extremely attractive, retaining lots of the original features. Together with the setting of 10 acres of beautiful gardens, it becomes the ideal venue for your wedding celebration, with many and varied photographic opportunities.

One of the great benefits of coming to Yew Lodge is that your wedding will be the only one taking place during the day, so you and your guests can truly relax and enjoy the whole occasion in total privacy. It is an intimate venue and many people have commented favourably on the warm, “house party” atmosphere as opposed to being in a more formal, corporate setting.

Wedding Breakfast
For the wedding breakfast we offer a choice of two reception rooms - both with direct access to patios and the gardens. The Sycamore Wedding Suite is in a high quality, contemporary setting. It has a reception area, adjoining bar and main dining room which can comfortably seat up to 120 guests (140 maximum) for the wedding breakfast, with a total capacity for evening receptions of 200.

For smaller, more intimate groups of up to 50 seated guests, we have the Oak Room, so called due to the oak panelling, complimented by silk screens, which are part of the original building dating back to the 1880's.

Civil Ceremony
We are licenced to hold the civil ceremony so your whole celebration can be hosted in one place. Alternatively, a number of local churches representing several denominations are close by.

Exclusively for You
Yew Lodge can also be hired exclusively for your company's event. This ensures complete privacy and sole use of the facilities including the Training Centre, Dining Room/Conservatory, Lounge, Bar, bedrooms, and gardens.

We are committed to the success of your event. Our on-site team will attend to your needs from concept through to creation and delivery. You will be assigned a team member who will work with you to ensure everything is exactly as you want it. Throughout your event we will be on hand to make sure that everything runs smoothly and the occasion is a great success.

The extensive grounds are also very well suited for outdoor management/team building programmes and larger corporate events such as company parties and product launches.

Local Attractions
If some 'free time' is built into the programme, there are a number of local attractions delegates can take advantage of. In particular, we are adjacent to Chartham Park Golf Course & Health Spa and have special arrangements with them for our guests to use their facilities.
