Ducks at Aberlady is a restaurant with 26 rooms. Owner Malcolm Duck moved his renowned Edinburgh Restaurant ,Ducks, to Aberlady in 2009 having bought Kilspindie House in 2004.
The Ducks restaurant seats up to 100 but can also divides into two distinct rooms with its own bar making extremely flexible for dinners large or small, meetings, break out rooms or celebrations of any type; a great room for dancing! It also has an outside patio and a large drop down screen and roof mounted projector as well as wire less internet.
For more intimate events our Green Room proves to be an ideal room with a great deal of flexibility. Large screens for presentations and wire less internet. This room seats up to 25, is very cosy with a fire for winter time and it is right beside the legendary wine cellar. It is one of only two listed in the Wine Spectator in Scotland.
Weddings
Ducks at Kilspinide House is an ideal base for wedding guests with plenty to do in the area. As well as Ducks restaurant there is Donalds which serves more bar bistro food; East Lothian has twenty two golf courses, Concorde, Museum of Flight, Seabird Center, Go-carting, Glenkinchie Distillery, Belhaven Brewery and boat trips from North Berwick.
You can have a menu and your wine list arranged to suit your particular needs. Whatever the occasion you can be assured a professional and attentive service. We will tailor a package to suit your needs and budget. The prices include food, drinks and room hire; per head should be allowed for food. Our menus are created from fresh local produce are prepared skillfully and with care.

Ducks at Aberlady
Formerly in Edinburgh, Ducks Restaurant has relocated to the peaceful village of Aberlady in East Lothian, 25 mins down the coast from Edinburgh. It remains much the same but operates together with Kilspindie House (26 rooms) and Donalds an excellent Bar/Bistro all under the ownership of Malcolm Duck.
Kilspindie House, the original name of the property, has 26 bedrooms all ensuite, free wifi and flat screen TVs. It is a fantastic area for bird watching in the winter and golf in the summer. Longniddry station is only 18 mins by train from the centre of Edinburgh with a free bus pick up so easy for those working in Edinburgh.
