Grand Café is a venue steeped in history located within South Western House, a Grade II* listed building whose history dates back to 1865. The former Wedgewood Ballroom & Dining Room is now home to a quirky and wonderfully unique bar, bistro and restaurant within what was once Southampton's grandest hotel.
Not only was it frequented by many famous celebrities over the years but it was also used by the 1st Class passengers of the ill-fated Titanic. Situated close to Oxford Street and centrally located to the City's Docks, Southampton Boat Show and Shopping Centres, Grand Café is the perfect place to enjoy light lunches and early dinners in our informal bistro. Grand Café restaurant is designed to be bursting with an eclectic mix of classic British styles and elaborate flamboyance and offers an exciting dining area and relaxed atmosphere both day and night.
Capacity
The beautiful restaurant readily converts into a stunning venue for up to 240 guests for private parties, functions, corporate events and weddings. The foyer of the old South Western House affords unique photo opportunities as does the remarkable 'Titanic Staircase' on which the staircase of the RMS Titanic was modelled.

What is included in the menu? We have varied menu choices for weddings. We include Starter, Main and Dessert but this can be tailored to include Champagne, 'Bubbly' or Cocktails Reception Drinks and Tea/Coffee with our own hand made petit fours. We also offer speciality buffets.
