Locale is the quintessential Italian neighbourhood restaurant. Warm, laid back and welcoming with bustling open kitchens and a philosophy for fine food at their hub.

Locale is a full service Italian Restaurant and Cocktail Bar focused on serving freshly made pasta, fish, meat and seafood, complete with a fully stocked bar featuring the best Italian wines and finely made cocktails.

The restaurants are owner operated with their kitchens headed up by Executive Chef Paolo Barone.

Fine Italian produce from small producers are used wherever possible, daily specials are chalked up on blackboards, and guest wines from boutique vineyards are featured each month.

The lounge bar serves delicious, fresh fruit cocktails and great wines by the glass. The perfect place for a celebration Bellini or an after work drink with friends and colleagues. The bar ensures that the most discerning drinker is catered for.

Locale offers comfortable dining in an intimate atmosphere with a warm feel. Dark wood furniture alongside brown leather banquettes are set against pleated wallpapers and antique mirrors, lit by low level lighting and chandeliers. Rich warm colours and sumptuous fabrics create a sophisticated space to relax with friends.

Locale is available for exclusive hire – day or night. Whether for a wedding, corporate dinner or product launch, Locale can provide the perfect venue. Locale offers market fresh Italian dishes, prepared by Italian chefs in the bustling open kitchen. The full range of menus can offers delicious dishes for any occasion – buffets and canapés to three course lunches and dinners.

Locale can seat guests for dinner or offer space for a drinks reception. The bar areas in Locale restaurants offer a relaxed drinking experience where fresh fruit cocktails are served. With large rustic wooden tables, leather sofas and armchairs, it is perfect for pre or post dinner drinks.

The deep red walls and dark wood, lit by huge chandeliers and candles successfully creates intimacy, also making our venues ideal for photo shoots and filming.

Our Restaurants

Locale are warm, laid back and welcoming restaurants with bustling open kitchens at their hub. We have 5 restaurants in total with our most recent opening in June 2009 in Balham. Locale strives to bring its customers a true Italian food experience. All of the fresh ingredients are bought from London markets to ensure the best quality and flavours. Italian ingredients are used whenever possible, including flour, eggs and olive oil and all the dishes are made to authentic Italian recipes to ensure guests get a true taste of Italy.

The seasonal a la carte menu offers all of the traditional Italian dishes with plenty of choice for meat and fish eaters as well as vegetarians as well as homemade breads and freshly baked in-store desserts

Our beverage features delicious, fresh fruit cocktails and great wines by the glass from small producers wherever possible with of course fantastic Italian coffee and beer
