Colston Hall is a unique venue that encompasses classic and contemporary architecture in the heart of Bristol city centre.The stunning features of the old building and the fresh design of the new foyer creates an ultra modern backdrop for your special day. Whether you are a music lover, a fan of the arts or simply looking for something out of the ordinary, Colston Hall has the perfect space for an intimate occasion or a grand affair.

Hall 1 and main foyer

Hall 1 is a spectacular space and is ideal for a large ceremony, seating 1800 people in a theatre style. These inspirational surroundings have hosted thousands of music and entertainment events and now you can share the stage with your musical idols on your special day.

The main foyer is available to host larger weddings. This vibrant open plan space boasts natural daylight with a built in stage for a ceremony, top table or evening entertainment. This space can also be lit to match the theme of the day.

Hall 2

Hall 2 is located in the original building and can accomodate 350 guests for an evening reception. It has many unique features including a stage, full lighting rig and live photographs of world famous musicians performing at the Hall. This room has stunning high ceilings and is perfect for any occasion, especially for glamorous and dramatic evening events.

Level 1 bar

This contemporary, open plan space is also located in the new foyer and can accomodate a maximum of 300 guests for an evening reception. As well as the high ceilings and ample amounts of natural daylight, bar level one boasts a stunning mural of modern art which creates a unique and striking backdrop for your photo opportunities.

Level 3 bar and terrace

Our level 3 bar is located at the top of the building in the new foyer and is ideal to host any aspect of your day. This intimate space can accomodate a maximum of 200 guests for an evening reception and is home to a fully stocked bar which can be open for guests use throughout the day and night.

As well as the bright indoor space your guests will experience our spectacular private terrace, a rare outdoor space in the heart of the city. The urban skyline of Bristol creates the ideal backdrop for capturing moments throughout your day.
