With the Chapel Gallery, Drawing room and Main Hall all licensed for civil ceremonies you can create both the service and celebration to reflect your passions: formal, intimate or wildly elaborate! A gracious country guest house offering comfortable accommodation in Kingsbridge, South Devon, one of the UK’s designated “areas of outstanding natural beauty”.


Space to think, space to breath, space to be – is what quite naturally Hazelwood has to offer. Set above a river in 67 acres of unspoilt woodland near to Kingsbridge, South Devon and close to several of the UK’s award winning beaches, this early Victorian country house has comfortable and gracious accommodation, with each room individually decorated with unusual artwork and antique furniture from around the globe.
There are 14 bedrooms offering accommodation on a simple overnight B&B basis through to holidaying families to South Devon and couples wishing to marry in a rural, country house setting.

The restaurant is open all year round for parties, celebrations, lunch, dinner and delicious traditional cream teas. Hazelwood has a policy of using the best in locally sourced and organic wherever possible ingredients. Our Head Chef, Alex Sandu is flexible and creative and can easily cater for special diets.

House parties are becoming increasingly popular for those wishing to indulge in some quality time with loved ones in the relaxing style and comfort that a country house can provide. (There is even the option of some ‘basic’ cottages to rent in the grounds for those whose accommodation needs exceed 15 bedrooms).
