For those in search of the perfect wedding venue the magnificence, grandeur and sheer beauty of Stowe is hard to beat.
Stowe was created by a family once so powerful they were richer than the king. The scale, grandeur and beauty of Stowe has inspired writers, philosophers, artists, politicians and members of the public from the 18th century to the present day. Stowe boasts one of the most picturesque landscapes in the country, containing over 40 temples and monuments.

Civil Ceremonies
We have two licensed venues for wedding ceremonies; the impressive Temple of Concord and Victory and the intimate Temple of Venus. The stunning temples along with the professional and friendly service, will ensure you and your guests enjoy a truly memorable occasion.
Marquee wedding breakfast
The Temple of Concord and Victory, the Temple of Venus, the Palladian Bridge, The Grecian Valley, The Queens Temple, The South Front Lawn and the Lake Pavilions, can all host marquees for 150 guests up to 2000+
The Temple of Concord and Victory
A marquee can be situated next to the impressive Temple of Concord and Victory (also licensed for civil ceremonies) with beautiful views out over the Grecian Valley.
The Temple of Venus
A quiet and secluded area of the garden in front of the Temple of Venus (also licensed for civil ceremonies) overlooking the Eleven Acre Lake.
Palladian Bridge
Situated in front of the romantic ruin of the Temple of Friendship this site has stunning views of the Palladian Bridge which crosses the Octagon Lake. Also in view from this site is the Gothic Temple, Queens Temple and Cobham’s Monument.
The Grecian Valley
The last major addition for the garden, a key project in the career of 'Capability' Brown. The Valley slopes away gently from the front of the temple (of Concord and Victory) and is enclosed by belts of trees.
The Queens Temple
Originally called the Lady's Temple, dedicated to female companionship, it was rechristened the Queens Temple in honour of Queen Charlotte after she had nursed her sickly husband, George III, back to health.
South Front Lawn
Situated between the main house and the Octagon Lake with spectacular views of both the Lake Pavillions and Corinthian Arch.
The Lake Pavilions
Last but certainly not least is a site in between the Lake Pavilions with arguably the most spectacular views in the gardens, on one side the view across the Octagon Lake up to the stunning Stowe House and on the other views out across the Parkland to the striking Corinthian Arch.
We would love to show you around our spectacular grounds . . .
