Cornwall VW Wedding Hire is run by enthuisiasts who are passionate about Volkswagens and all of our vehicles are maintained to a very high standard.

We offer you the opportunity to hire a chauffeur driven 1965 Volkswagen Splitscreen van and/or a 1964 Volkswagen Beetle Karmann Cabriolet. We also offer the opportunity to hire a chauffeur driven red classic Karmann Ghia or modern cream convertible beetle.

Chauffeur Service

The chauffeur can wear what is required, whether it be suit or boardshorts, and co-ordinated vehicle ribbons and bows are provided to match your theme on the day.

Photo opportunities are a must, so any shots with the van and/or beetle are no problem!

We offer a variety of wedding car hire packages starting from a standard package to a full days hire and the vehicles are available for hire across Cornwall. We can collect and take you to your wedding venue and then on to the wedding reception, if required. The van has seating for up to five people and it is perfect for bride and groom, bridesmaids, best man and ushers or any other guests. The beetle is also ideal for the bride and groom on that special day.

Standard hire package;

Includes chauffeur driven travel within a 50mile radius, for a duration of 4hrs from St Ives, Cornwall. Also included are co-ordinated vehicle ribbons and bows.

Deluxe hire package ;

Includes chauffeur driven travel within a 80mile radius, for a duration of 8hrs from St Ives, Cornwall. Also included are co-ordinated vehicle ribbons and bows and champagne.

The 1965 VW Splitscreen Bus

Our 1965 VW Splitscreen is an original RHD UK model which was purchased as a body shell in the year 2000 in Dorset.

Since then it has undergone a full bare metal restoration, spending many hours renovating it back to its former glory. Many of the parts were sourced from the USA and safari windows and pop out windows fitted all round. Finished in 2003 a trip to Biarritz, France led to a rear end shunt causing the van to undergo yet more work.

Lowered and rolling on porsche wheels with disc brakes, the bus has had a new paint job, engine, suspension, interior and a new audio visual entertainment sound system.

With safety being paramount, there are lowered shocks all round with a responsive braking system, uprating the old set up. A move to Cornwall in 2003 then eventually resulted in the vans debut at the 2005 Volksworld show at Sandown Park, and a subsequent feature in Ultra VW magazine.

Our Modern VW Beetle Cabriolet

If you are after the modern theme of the classic VW Beetle then this is what you are after. This New Beetle Cabriolet is a RHD model finished in "Harvert Moon" light cream / beige colour,with a lovely matching beige leather interior. This beetle has seating for up to three persons and is not short of modern techology either, with airbags, electric reclining cabriolet hood, stereo and heating!!

Just picture it- glass of champagne, hood down and gentle breeze on a summers day, now who could ask for more on your wedding day!
