We are extremely proud to announce the opening of Fable & Promise wedding company limited.

It is with great anticipation that Silver Lining Sewing Rooms embark on this new endeavour. Rachel, Tracy and Charlotte are extremely excited to be able to offer the services for which Silver Lining Sewing Rooms has become known alongside the well established ranges and customer service for which Dan Kerr Blackburn has built a reputation.

Our Ranges

We pride ourselves on stocking a wide range of the most cutting edge designers. We have something for every taste and budget. Whether you want simple and elegant or bold and dramatic we have some exciting designs to show you.

Alongside our extensive Bridal range we also stock Bridesmaid, Mother of the Bride, Evening and Prom wear including ranges from San Patrick, Alfred Angelo, Mori Lee, Forever Yours and Ronald Joyce.

and were not only about the dress! Our range of accessories is unrivalled, displaying fascinators, bags and other accessories not found in other bridal showrooms.

At Fable & Promise we are not only about selling wedding dresses. We have a team of highly skilled individuals and a host of additional services that we offer to make your big day all the more special.

Bespoke design and creation

Rachel, our principal designer, will work with you to design a dress around your ideas and create a masterpiece only you will ever wear.

Bespoke accessories

Tracy is a master of millinery and can make bags and accessories for any outfit and colour option.

Professional Alterations

With over 10 years in the wedding industry all manner of alterations can be accomplished; taking in, letting out, turning into a lace-up, adding sleeves. Anything is possible.

We will alter dresses bought elsewhere too!

Cleaning and Packing

Once your day is over you may want to keep your dress as a keepsake, or you may want to let another bride enjoy it; either way it is important to have it professionally cleaned and repaired.

We also have a range of beautiful preservation boxes.

Our Showroom

The showroom is laid out in such a way that you have access to all the collections yet have a level of privacy not afforded in other bridal shops: there are 4 spacious changing rooms, each accompanied by an area with large mirrors and sofas for your helpers.

You are always welcome to drop in and have a look around, however we do operate an appointment system ensuring that you are given our full attention and the best advice possible.
