Lynne Morgan

Lynne Morgan is an experienced designer/dressmaker working from a studio in her own home, to ensure personal one-to-one attention in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

She works with each Bride's own ideas to create individually designed Wedding Dresses, so no two dresses are the same, each Bride bringing her own personality to the design.

The choice of fabrics range from finest silks to quality synthetics, in taffeta and lace. The use of appliqué and beading is a speciality, and is often used to unique effect.

Consultation

During your first consultation, you can discuss your design and she will send you a quote to consider. You can then make an appointment to take some detailed measurements.

This enables Lynne to draft your pattern to fit you perfectly. Your fabric will be at the studio for you to see and to collect samples to match to your accessories.

Toile Fitting

A few weeks later will be your toile fitting. This is where you try on a calico version of your dress. You will be able to suggest adjustments at this stage e.g. alter neckline, shorten sleeves etc. Lynne will keep fitting and pinning until it is perfect. You will need to wear the bra or basque that you are going to wear on the day so that she can fit the toile to the shape and style of that underwear.

Dress Fitting

The next stage is the dress fitting. Your dress will be in the fabric you have chosen and will start to take shape.

There is still plenty of scope to make changes to anything you are not 100% happy with.

Please bring your shoes (if you have ordered them through Lynne, they will be here) as your hem will be pinned up at this fitting.

Then, in plenty of time for the Wedding, is your final fitting. Your dress will be completed. Sometimes there may be a final adjustment to make it perfect, and then it will be ready to collect.
