You may be asking why I call myself The Wedding Sonneteer? Sonnets are traditionally the most romantic of poems. They became popular in England during the Renaissance when the fashion for sonnets was imported from Italy. Writing a sonnet was the way every courtier wooed his beloved. In the Renaissance if you couldn’t write a sonnet you were no lover!

Shakespeare’s Sonnets

My specialty and passion is for Shakespeare, so my standard package is a selection of Shakespeare’s sonnets. I have spent the last two years working for The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust bringing poetry to their historic houses. If you would love to have a poetic ambiance on your wedding day but have no particular favourite poet then this is ideal for you.
