Mustang has years of experience in function entertainment, and will ‘read’ guests on the night to choose the most appropriate songs. We can also perform a selection of the most popular Scottish ceilidh songs, and run-through the dances with guests: essential for those who have never taken part in these dances before (also good for refreshing memories!).

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire? Yes. As long as the band are given reasonable time to practice your chosen song, performing it at your event should not be a problem. We suggest giving Mustang any special requests (including first dances for weddings) at least one month prior to your booking. The band will not learn a whole custom set or play songs in a specific order.

Experience: * Over 10 years experience in wedding entertainment * The "Mustang" band launched with style in 2005 with a Mediterranean cruise on the Island Escape. Since returning to Scotland, Mustang has performed at numerous weddings, party nights and birthday parties, even private house parties at some of the best venues in Scotland. All three members of Mustang are full-time, professional musicians, whom also work together in another, original material band. Highlights include performing to thousands at "Free 2007" - alongside the likes of Beverley Knight, Amy Macdonald and McFly - supporting Ocean Colour Scene, Wet Wet Wet, Marmalade, Go West and Westlife, and performing at an exclusive, London Fashion Week after-show party.

How much time do you need to prepare for an act? Usually Mustang will set-up all equipment during the venue's change-over period, when the staff prepare the room for the evening. This usually takes around 30 minutes, but may be quicker or slower depending on access. It may be possible for the band to set-up earlier in the day if the daytime reception and meal is held in a different room.

What is the length of time of the act? We offer two packages: Mustang only, or Mustang including disco. The Mustang only package is for 4 hours (includes background music during the buffet / tea and coffee break), normally this will be 8pm-12am. If you require entertainment for more than 4 hours (8pm-1am, for example), we offer the 'including disco' package, which will include another experienced DJ, Shane.

How far in advance should I contact you? Mustang have now opened the diary for 2012 and 2013 bookings. You may check our availability on WeddingSpot, on our official website or contact us. We endeavour to update our availability calendars at least weekly. There are still some available dates in 2011, and a special discount is available for some dates (see our promotions!).
