Rhodri Evans Classical Tenor

Welsh Classical Tenor singer for weddings, concerts and events.

Recently headlined as a soloist in the St David's Celebrations in Los Angeles U.S.A. 2011.

In December 2010 Rhodri had the privilege of appearing on a new radio program; "Cyfle Cothi" where he was fortunate in having a master class with world famous tenor Gwyn Hughes Jones and following its success sang in a Christmas concert at St. David's Church in Cardiff under the accompaniment of Lucy J. Morgan’s ensemble and first violinist Rakhi Singh with Grammy award winner; soprano Rebecca Evans and Gwyn Hughes Jones.

Rhodri has sang in several choirs including Ceredigion's Choir, Choir of the three counties (Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire), Côr Pantycelyn, Madrical University Choir and currently sings with Côr Ger y Lli (Choir of-the-sea), near Aberystwyth and has been singing as a soloist with them. Recently he has sung in the United States and has been singing in Italy as a soloist and has performed in Austria.

• A member of a group of singers which goes around care homes for the elderly and holds concerts for them regularly as a soloist.
• Experience of singing in many concerts.
• Performed in a special Christmas edition with Dechrau Canu Dechrau Canmol (S4C) in the past, in a singing quartet at Llanbadarn Church Aberystwyth.
• Television appearance including Wedi 3 a magazine programme on S4C, (Channel 4 for Wales), February 2010, March 2011.
• Currently receives weekly vocal training from Ken and Christine Reynolds, Llanfarian.

• Twice finalist in the National Eisteddfod bro Morgannwg 2012 (lieder, Welsh solo 19-25)
  

• Twice winner of the David Lloyd and Jean Skidmore memorial prize for the greatest tenor under 25 at the National Eisteddfod in Ebbw Vale 2010 and Wrexham 2011.
• Osborne Roberts finalist (Blue Ribbon under 25) Wrexham 2011.
• Finalist in the Welsh solo under 25 Wrexham 2011.
• First , boys solo 16-19 Eryri a’r Cyffiniau National Eisteddfod 2005.
• Finalist on the vocal solo 15-20 at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod 2008.
• Finalist on the solo boys 16-19 at Swansea and District National Eisteddfod 2006.
• Finalist on the under 25 mixed solo in Flintshire and District National Eisteddfod 2007.
• First on-fifteen competitions in Eisteddfodau in 2010.
• First in Eisteddfod Pontrhydfendigaid 2005.

Fees £100 + & any traveling expenses or accomodation. (Accompanist will be required by wedding organisers, if unavailable backing tracks may be obtained,) Singing during reception, normaly between 1-3 songs.
