With over 15 years of experience, RK DJ Mobile Disco aims to provide the ultimate entertainment experience for Weddings in Dumfries & Galloway and Ayrshire. We love DJing weddings, and for us, it's all about two things - you and the music. From the moment you get in touch, we dedicate ourselves to your special day and tailor our services to make your ideas come to life. Our Online Planner system puts you in control and ensures that we play the music you love - with absolutely no unnecessary talking on the microphone!

Services Offered

From intimate celebrations to the most spectacular Weddings, RK DJ Mobile Disco offers a range of DJ packages to suit your venue. All of our packages include a professional Wedding DJ, industry standard equipment and full access to our Online Planner system.

Our Ceilidh DJ package includes everything you need for that full Scottish Wedding experience with a mix of both ceilidh and disco. Our professional ceilidh caller will encourage your guests onto the dancefloor and talk them through all the dances so that everyone knows what they are doing. The best part is that it's entirely up to you how much ceilidh vs. disco you would like!

Whilst DJing is at the heart of what we do, it's not all we do. We offer a range of additional services to enhance your special day, including music for your Ceremony, uplighting, custom gobo projection and our Piping DJ.

How far in advance should I contact you?

Usually we recommend booking around twelve months in advance for peak times of the year, such as Summer and Christmas, however, sometimes we can fit events in at the last minute

We carry a huge music collection with music from the 1950s, right up to current chart music, so we can play music to suit you and your event

Absolutely – We welcome requests from all guests on the night and in advance via our Online Planning Facilities

What is the length of time of the act?

We have no set finish time. We will work with you and your venue to agree a suitable finishing time for your event

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

We always arrive well before the start of your event to get setup and organised. Usually we give ourselves 90 minutes to setup the disco, however, we can setup in under an hour if required

Do you do open-air acts?

Yes

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Overtime is charge at an hourly rate

Full dancefloor

Ross was an excellent dj. We have a brief idea of the kind of music we would like and he absolutely nailed it. The dance floor was constantly full all evening We even included some ceilidh fences which went down a storm even with the Irish half of the wedding. Would highly recommend.

Piper & Dj

Ross recently piped for our wedding and he was absolutely faultless, he even learned a tune on the pipes for me that he had never even tried before. He then went on to be our evening DJ too and the dance floor was absolutely bouncing. Ross and his services are second to none. We really can't thank or recommend him enough. Nothing is ever too much. Great lad and great tunes.

Exceptional wedding DJ

We approached Ross to DJ at our wedding in Dumfriesshire in early May. From the moment we contacted him, he was professional, efficient, and helpful and set the perfect tone for our Wedding party. The website and online planning resources are fantastic and we also had a pre-wedding Zoom to discuss the kind of DJ set we were looking for. He was always so responsive and happy to meet our requirements! On the day, his DJ set up was pristine, looked brilliant, very tasteful and classy! The music was all exactly as we wished, the perfect tone for a brilliant party. He introduced our band, took requests, and also did a few jokey sets/mash-ups for us. After the wedding he send us a gallery of brilliant photographs of our first and last few dances - incredible that he captured those memories. We cannot recommend Ross enough. Absolutely brilliant!

Highly professional, friendly and fun!

RKDJ is a regular visitor here at Kinmount and was our first choice when choosing a DJ for a charity event we held recently. He kindly acted as compere for the evening and so many guests commented on how professional he was. He also injected a lot of fun into the evening when the live auction took place. His choice of music was spot on for our 80s theme. We cannot recommend Ross highly enough.

A fantastic DJ with both piping and DJ services. Ross made our day all that more special with his piping and later in the evening getting people on the dance floor. His online planner took a lot of stress out of our planning and ensured we had songs that may have been overlooked otherwise.

Rkdj wedding dj

Ross played at our wedding at Springkell and was absolutely fantastic. Even before our wedding, he seamlessly coordinated our schedule, had an easy-to-use system, and much appreciated payment process. On our wedding day, he was friendly, and even got our 35-person wedding dancing for hours! We had some last-minute schedule changes that he rolled with easily, adjusting and continuing to play a great mix of music all night, from wedding classics to modern hits that all ages enjoyed. Every song that we requested was played and he interspersed our requests seamlessly. The dance floor was hopping all night. The lighting, especially the stars, were also a huge hit! Thank you, Ross, for making this American couples' wedding day perfect.
