The Reasons have the reputation of being one of the most versatile, exciting and entertaining bands around. We are experienced musicians who enjoy what we do, love performing and know how to get a good party started.

Whether you need a wedding band, live music for private parties or a scorching party band for your corporate event (or any other special events for that matter), The Reasons can provide you with a musical experience you’ll never forget!

We play a 3 hour set between 8pm-12am (with a break during the evening buffet etc).

Price is dependent on location and size of wedding venue. The Reasons offer highly competitive rates among other Wedding/Function bands in the UK. By booking the band directly you will save 15-20% commission fees usually charged by entertainment agencies. Contact us now and we will be happy to give you a quotation with no obligation.

Firstly, contact us to check we have your date available.

The band requires 10% of the full fee at the time of booking. The balance can then be paid by cheque 2 weeks before your event or in cash on the day before the band performs.

The Reasons are available to hire in Scotland. As we are Glasgow-based, best rates are for Glasgow and surrounding areas.

Where can I see you play?

The band currently plays exclusively for private engagements so rarely have the opportunity to play at public events. Many hosts are uncomfortable with us inviting potential clients to their wedding or corporate function; therefore we prefer not to ask them. There will be some showcase events in the coming months to allow potential clients to see the band perform.

Ceilidh Music Band Scotland

Yes, for an additional fee we can provide up to 40mins of live ceilidh music. Our musicians have many years experience playing traditional ceilidh music. They also call the dances to provide a complete ceilidh experience. Please advise when enquiring if you would like a ceilidh set.

The band will supply their own PA and lighting suitable for events up to 250 capacity. If your event is of a larger capacity the band can arrange suitable sound and lighting solutions to meet your event requirements – please mention when booking.

First Dance Wedding Music

We will happily learn your first dance as part of our service, provided you give us at least 4 weeks’ notice of the song choice. Clients are also welcome to request specific songs from our current set list and the band will try to accommodate as many of these as possible.

Weddings in Scotland

The band performs at a wide variety of venues from pubs & village halls to large country estates, theatres, festivals, halls and hotel function rooms. The band will also perform in marquees or outdoors, under cover, if the weather allows it.

Sound Advice

Chances are that you’ve already booked the venue, but before you book your band / DJ we advise that you check with your venue to make sure they can accommodate for live music, some venues have volume restrictions with cut off systems, not all venues will make you aware of this when you make a booking and this can cause problems on the night with equipment being shutdown during performances and sometimes a wait of up to 10 minutes before re-setting. While the band can adjust their volumes accordingly we do need to be informed of the venues noise code in order to respect it. Please ask your co-ordinator or event/venue manager and inform us when enquiring.

How much space do you need?

The Reasons are a 4 piece band and require a minimum performance area of 5 x 4 meters with a minimum of 4 electrical points.

How long do you need to set up?

Usually we need up to an hour to install and set up the PA and sound check in advance of the performance. We prefer to carry out the sound-check before the arrival of guests where possible.

Wedding DJ Glasgow

The band is also happy to play a selection of continuous music that is pre-mixed for before and between our performances and at no extra cost. Please advise when enquiring if you wish to provide your own music mix.

Bookings

Once a booking is confirmed, the band will contact the client whenever necessary if details need to be checked, clarified, confirmed or discussed.
