UK Harpists were established in 2003 by professional harpist Xenia Horne in order to provide her clients with the best musicians available. Since then we have worked constantly to increase the availability of artists all over country. Our musicians are chosen not only for their excellent musicianship but also their presentation skills and their professionalism.
With UK Harpists you not only have the secure knowledge that your music will be wonderful, but also that all the practical aspects of your event will be catered for.
Our aim is to make this as stress free for our clients as possible. All you need to do is to tell us when your event is, where it is being held and any other important details such as the nature of the celebration, the style of he venue and any themes in terms of colours or dress. We will offer you the most suitable suggestions and clear pricing for your event.
Recent engagements for Xenia include a wedding at Le Manoir Aux Quatre Saisons, and playing for the opening of the new Duchess Grandstand at Epsom in the presence of HRH Duchess of Cornwall.
From your initial enquiry to the end of your event, we are here to ensure that it you benefit from our experience and sector knowledge. Most importantly, we want your event exceed your expectations.
UK Harpists are here to provide the right music for every occasion. Our clients are constantly telling us how much atmosphere and visual impact our musicians add to their events. The presence of a harpist at any gathering not only brings high quality music but a real presence too.
Weddings & Civil Partnerships
From the moment your guests arrive we can provide a magical atmosphere of romance and expectation. We work with you to select the right music for your day from beginning to end. We can arrange pieces especially for your grand entrance and during the signing of the register. We can also play for the wonderful moment when you walk back as partners for life or husband and wife. The music you choose is very personal to your celebrations and our aim is to ensure that we create an ambience that really reflects the event of your dreams.
After the ceremony we can play during the drinks reception, as photographs are taken. We also find that playing during the wedding breakfast provides a wonderfully relaxing environment for your guests. You would be surprised how much the harp, the sound naturally adapts so that music can be heard in a large space, yet it will not encroach on conversation.
The harp works particularly well outside, as long as there is some shelter from rain or sun... and sound will carry across open spaces beautifully, ie, the Walled Garden at Woodhall Manor in Suffolk or the terrace at Kilworth House, Leics. We also have enjoyed playing for weddings at the beautiful Tylney Hall in Hampshire.
Parties get an extra touch of glamour when our harpists are on hand to entertain and delight the guests.
Funerals and memorial services are sometimes difficult to plan for obvious reasons. We are here to help and know how music can benefit these occasions. Our singers and musicians are experienced at working with families to select the right music for you, and ensuring that we make the day easier for all concerned. We have many letters of thanks from clients who we have worked with over the past years.
