Classically trained singer available for weddings
Katie Eels BMus (London) PGCE
Mezzo-soprano
Katie studied as a Junior pupil at the Royal Welsh College of Music. During her time there, she was given a place in the Royal Welsh College Chamber Choir and recorded performances with the BBC National Chorus of Wales under conductor, the late Richard Hickox, and appeared on BBC2 for an Easter showing of ‘L’Enfance du Christ’ by Hector Berlioz.
After deciding to continue her studies in London, Katie studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama studying under Susan Waters, where she received her BMus performance degree. Highlights include performing as part of the chorus in Stravinsky’s opera ‘The Rake’s Progress’ for the Aldeburgh Festival 2006, conducted by Martyn Brabbins.
Katie can perform a varied repertoire of opera, operetta, sacred music, songs from the shows, jazz and standard songs for all types of events including corporate and charitable galas, concerts, weddings and funerals.
