Welcome to the Cheese Free Zone!
I'm a friendly female photographer based in Leeds. I love photographing weddings across the North of England. I'm willing to spend time with you either on the phone or in person to help you work out what you really need, want and can afford. I operate a "cheese free" policy... no cheesy poses or fake "moments". Just your wedding day, captured for real, showing how much fun everyone had.

Wedding Day Photography
On the big day, my aim is to add to the fun and joy of your wedding whilst capturing natural, happy smiles from you and your guests. I'll be looking for the big moments that you share as a couple...and also for the little moments that neither of you will see on the day. When you look at your photos you'll be able to enjoy your own happy memories and discover precious moments you may have missed. I pride myself on shooting the events as they actually happen - so I consider it my job to capture "the kiss" and the "putting on of the rings" for real, rather than staging shots after the ceremony because they were missed. Using high quality lenses means that I can capture the important moments from a distance without flash... I won't be in your face, "flashing" all day!
Wedding photography is an investment in your day as a whole. Unlike the cake, dress and flowers your photographs should last for life. Through professional photography you can enjoy your wedding every day for many years to come.
Photographic Style
My usual style is wedding reportage mixed with whatever formal group and bridal portraits you require.
I have experience of working with clients who are nervous of being photographed and am willing to spend time preparing brides (or grooms) who may need extra help and confidence building in the months leading up to the wedding.

How far in advance should I contact you? As soon as you have a firm date for your wedding.

What style of photos do you take? Traditional, Artistic, Photo journalism, All of the above

What is the charge for traveling? Usually, there's no charge for travel within the Yorkshire area. If you need me to travel more than 50 miles then I might ask for an additional flat rate to cover that. I normally build travel costs into the original quote, which is why I will only quote for weddings if you supply me with enough information, e.g. the date & location.

What kind of technology do you use? Digital

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach? I am able to provide photographs edited in the style of many classic films, such as Fuji Reala or Polaroid or black and white classic films. After booking, processing preferences may be discussed with you, for example I can test process some of your engagement shoot photos and you can see the difference and what is available. My usual style of processing is bold colours and bright photographs. If you have a preference then just ask as I'm happy to process as you wish - I don't have a specific processing style that I cling to. I process each wedding differently according to what looks best for that bride and groom - it depends on your own colouring, e.g. hair & skin tones.

How do you work? I can work alone or bring an assistant or a second photographer. The option of a 2nd photographer working with me will be discussed with you at the time of booking. Some couples like to have one for larger weddings or to gain additional coverage. I never cover more than one event a day, I don't even book them "back to back". So, if you book me for a Sunday wedding I will not work on the Saturday. This is to ensure that I am "bright eyed and bushy tailed" for your wedding! I pride myself on being friendly with your guests, I will smile at them and be a happy face on the day.
