I specialise in reportage wedding photography and have a knack for capturing those intimate moments that occur in what can be quite a boisterous day!
I care about you having fun, it being your day and you getting the pictures you want in the end. I'm very happy to travel wherever the work takes me, all wedding enquiries start with a free, no obligation meeting. Following that, I'll meet with you at the wedding and reception venues and you can tell me exactly what you want. Then, to put it simply, I make sure you get it. No hassle, no stess, just great wedding photography.
Reportage photography covering the UK and beyond. Featured in The Guardian Supplement 25th August.

How far in advance should I contact you? For preference at least six months in advance of the wedding. This will give us time to get to know each other, to scout the wedding and reception venues together and for me to understand your sense of style so I can represent that in both the pictures I take and the album you receive. Of course that's not always possible. I can work with much shorter notice, in the past I've had only one month to prepare for the wedding and still got fantastic results.
What style of photos do you take?
What is the charge for traveling? The charge for travelling depends very much on the distance to the wedding. I'm based in Bedfordshire but that hasn't stopped me from travelling as far as Kent, Cornwall and Sirmione in Italy.
What kind of technology do you use? Digital
Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach? I try not to use any flash during your wedding day. I like to capture the atmosphere of the places you chose to have your wedding and reception, a flash can often destroy that feeling. There is of course the other issue that the majority of priests and celebrants I've worked with really prefer there to be no flash during the ceremony and I always honour that. Apart from any formal groups that you ask me to take, I actually try to be as unobtrusive as possible. My favourite shots are always the ones that show the story of the day, unposed pictures of people laughing, having fun, raising a glass to the happy couple, the things that make it your day.
How do you work? I tend to be asked to do a mixture of reportage and formal group photography at weddings, both of which I'm more than happy to do. It is often the case that people come away from the formal groups having actually enjoyed themselves; I have a tendency to do pretty much anything (including silly voices and jazz hands) to get people to give me a natural smile.
Do you cover more than one wedding a day? No
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours? Yes
Do you charge per hour or per event? Per event
Form of payment: A 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure your date and then the balance 30 days before the wedding, both usually by cash, cheque or online bank transfer.
