About Us

EC Wedding Design was set up in 2011 by professional singer and BBC 5 live radio presenter, Louise Perry. For the last ten years Louise has been the lead vocalist with wedding band, One Foot in the Groove.

She is in a very privileged position of having first hand knowledge of the wedding industry, training to become a wedding planner seemed a natural progression for her, having provided music for literally hundreds of weddings. She has worked with some of the best suppliers in the industry. It is through her relationships with these suppliers that will allow Louise to suggest the right one for you and at the same time saving you money by negotiating the best deal.

We offer a range of services to the most discerning brides. You may not need or want a planner for the whole of your day, you may just need a few ideas to get you going, have a look at ourplanning and wedding workshops. You might just want some help on the day itself so you can relax or you might need someone to take away the pressure in the run up to your big day, with our Help package.

Don’t think that a wedding planner is going to cost a fortune either. It is our job to negotiate with suppliers on your behalf and pass on these discounts to you. We DO NOT take any form of commission from suppliers. You will find that a good planner can not only save you time, but money as well.

Initial Consultation

We offer a free no obligation consultation so that we can discuss your day, your ideas, dreams and of course get to know you and most importantly for you to get to know us.

At the end of our first meeting we will have built a picture of exactly what you want for your big day. We will then draw up a proposal outlining all of these details. Hopefully you will want to use EC Wedding Design to help with some aspect of your day.

Planning and Wedding Workshops

Our Planning and Wedding Workshop is a three hour, one to one consultation, held at our offices or at your home, focussing on exactly what you need to do to start planning your day.

A couple of weeks before our meeting we ask you to fill out a short questionnaire before our meeting so that we can prepare in advance some things for you. We will bring tips, ideas and some inspiration. We can fit this planning workshop into your busy schedule, evenings, weekends or during the day if you prefer. It’s fun and informal and you can invite whoever you like along.

Brides PA

Our most popular service is our ‘Brides PA’. This is so much more than just coordinating your wedding day

Imagine the big day has almost arrived and it’s time for you to relax and enjoy this memorable occasion with your friends and family. You arrive at your venue to find the coordinator that you have been working with over the last twelve months is not there on your actual day, but it is the banqueting manager. This is common practice at many venues.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone there who is working just for you, and not for the venue? We will make sure your plans are carried out exactly as you want. We will be on hand to steady any nerves and to make sure you have fun. From the ceremony right through until the formalities are completed.

An in depth 2 hour consultation with you two to four weeks before the wedding ideally at your venue or home, where we will discuss your day and how you want it to run and we will discuss any of your worries and concerns and eleviate them.

Full Co ordination

From the moment you set the date we will work with you at providing the day you have dreamt about without you loosing any control over your wedding. This is a start to finish service from our initial meeting right up until the thank you cards have been sent out.

Don’t forget the cost of hiring a wedding planner can virtually be off set against the savings you will make with the suppliers. It is our job to get you the best deals from the most suitable suppliers. We do not take any commission from them but pass any discounts on to you. Using our extensive and first hand knowledge of venues we will find the perfect setting for your wedding. We will research, negotiate and co-ordinate suppliers. Confirm all timings and details. We will help with styling from simple colour schemes to themed weddings, and of course on the day we will be there to make sure it runs exactly as planned

Don’t forget: I am also on call 24 hours a day in the run up. When the nerves start to set in I will be there to steady them.

Entertainment

Wedding entertainment is our forte, especially live music. The entertainment can make or break a wedding, and a great band can be the difference between a nice wedding and a fantastic one. One that everyone is still talking about on your first wedding anniversary!

Because of our extensive connections within the industry we can source the best music and entertainment for your wedding based on your budget and we promise to get you a good discount and we guarantee you will have the most fabulous time or we will give you your money back.

We will draw up a complete proposal and give you several ideas and suppliers to choose from.

Bespoke Advice

You can contact us anytime for help and advice about absolutely anything at whatever stage you are in your planning. We will chat to find out what is concerning you and then arrange a meeting at our offices or your home, where we will be armed with advice and solutions to any problems you may have.

Help

Your wedding day is almost here, with only a few weeks to go you suddenly realise you have a million things to do. Don’t panic, ask for some professional help.

This service is aimed at brides who need help the last few weeks before their wedding. You have booked suppliers months even years ago and you need to check that they have all your requirements, when they need to be paid, you need to check timings with them. Maybe there are a few things you have yet to organise or book and you are running out of time. We will be on hand to tie up any loose ends

Candy Buffet

Candy buffets are becoming so popular now at weddings and events. They add the real wow factor without costing the earth and they add an extra special touch to your event. They are fabulous for all your guests, no matter their age.

We work with you to coordinate with your theme or colour scheme. We provide the table covers, sweetie bags and signage. We also provide you with containers to take home any leftover sweets with you. We use a fabulous selection of glassware to display all of your sweets and you can also request any of your favourite sweets, after all its your wedding/party.
