Just Ask Janet provides a flexible wedding planning service.

I decided to start my own wedding planning business after helping a number of friends to organise parties and weddings in and around Durham. I was already experienced in running my own business and by putting these two skills together I have developed a business I am deeply passionate about.

Tailored Services

Our services are designed around you. You decide what services you require and we then tailor our services to your individual requirements.

Supplier Sourcing

Whether you require a florist or photographer, a wedding cake or car and chauffeur, we can suggest a range of suppliers. Having made your choices you can then manage your suppliers yourself or ask us to liaise with them to ensure that your day runs smoothly.

We work with a range of local businesses and independent suppliers to give you greater flexibility and choice ensuring your wedding is designed around you.

Help with Budgeting

When it comes to deciding who’s paying for what - the bride, the groom, or one of the families - there will inevitably be a budget to consider. You may need help to decide on how much should be spent on the dress, the reception, and other items. We can give advice and guidance with anticipated costs and payment planning to enable you to set (and stay within) a realistic budget. We may even be able to negotiate preferential rates with suppliers.

Choosing venues

Whether you want a single venue for both the ceremony and reception or separate venues, we can help you choose. You may wish to have a large number of guests or a smaller more intimate wedding. Whatever your taste, be it a large banquet in a castle or a small wedding in a chapel, we can help find the right venue for you.

Co-ordination of Services

Once you have chosen your suppliers, we can confirm details of arrangements, organise and attend appointments as necessary, maintain contact and keep you informed of progress. We also offer a full wedding co-ordination and management service if required.

If you are planning your own wedding and would like a longer consultation to discuss details of suppliers, venues or budgets, we also offer an hourly rated service. Charges start from £35.
