Centrepieces for a Valentine's Day Wedding

Valentine's Day is the day of love. If you are a fan of this romantic holiday and you want your wedding to be filled with hearts then don't miss this DIY tutorial!

We all have those jam jars that we sometimes wash and save, thinking one day we will use them. Well, now you can! Let's use them to make some lovely centrepieces that will be cool and perfect for your Valentine's Day inspired wedding. All you need is the following:

Glass jars in different sizes
Small paper doilies
Red card stock
Scissors
Twine
Glue

Start cutting some hearts with the card stock, making sure the size of the heart fits within the lace doilies as you can see in the photo below. Next, glue each heart to the center of the lace doilies.

Place the lace on the center of the jar and apply some glue to secure it. Wrap the twine around the jar, above the lace two times around and make a double knot at the back of the jar.

Repeat the last step, tying the twine also around the bottom. And now you have a wonderfully decorated jar that you can use as a vase for your centrepieces. This is perfect for vintage Valentine's Day weddings.

You can do what you like with them: fill them with fresh flowers, candles, white sand, etc. Grouped together they look very nice, or spaced along the table.

And, of course, you can surprise your partner with a romantic dinner by candlelight with your new Valentine's Day jars.
