Honeymooning in Japan
Although beaches are the most common honeymoon destination, more and more couples are choosing one of the asiatic countries to spend these special days. Today we look at Japan, a country with much to offer.

Japan is an archipelago formed mainly of four islands: Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu and Shikoku. For your honeymoon, we recommend a tour of the largest island, Honshu.
- We start in the capital, Tokyo. There are two districts, which are an absolute must to visit: Shibuya, with its famous intersection that always appears in films and photos, and Akihabara, with its hundreds of shops full of the latest in technology. The temple of Asakusa with its gigantic paper lantern is a must see and equally so is going up to the top of the highest point of the town hall building in Shinjuku to enjoy some of the most priveliged views of the city.
- From Tokyo we move on to Osaka, another one of the great cities where we can visit the Dontonbori, with its spectacular billboards, restaurants and countless shops. Nor can you miss Osaka Castle, which will transport you back to the time of the samurais.

- Not far from here we find Kyoto, the historic capital of Japan, which conserves the essence of Nippon tradition. It is the city of temples, among which you cannot fail to visit: Kyomizudera, Kinkakuji the temple of gold, or Ginkakuji, the temple of silver. And if you want to go back in time, take a stroll through Gion, the well-known district of the geishas and tea houses.
- From Kyoto we move on to Nara, where we can visit the temple of Todaiji, the buddhist temple made solely of wood, home to the largest bronze statue of Buddha in the world. One of the most amazing attractions of this place is that the gardens are full of deer that freely walk around and can be fed by hand.

- To complete our journey, we travel south to Hiroshima. Visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Park and Genbaku Domu, the only building to remain standing after the nuclear bomb. From the port you can catch a ferry to the island of Miyajima (Itsukushima), to visit the Shinto sanctuary and torri in the middle of the water, which can only be reached in the afternoon when the tide has gone out.
