Naked Weddings
Although we may be thinking all kinds of things given the name, "naked weddings" are very commonplace in Asia. Cheap and quick weddings, without much fuss and bizarrely, without a home either.
A Chinese TV programme, Dwelling Narrowness, has revolutionised cybernauts from this Asian country with a new wedding concept: "naked" weddings.
Going beyond the literal meaning of the expression, naked weddings refer to weddings that are held with few resources. A photo of the couple and the marriage certificate are the only requisites to celebrate a "naked wedding". And afterwards, they share a flat or live with one of the couple's parents.

Although in the West, low-cost weddings are becoming more commonplace, naked weddings are characterised mainly by the fact that the couple don't have a house when they marry. Something totally unacceptable for 70% of Chinese women owing to strong social and cultural pressures.
In China, the home is a symbolic guarantee when accepting a man's hand in marriage, whether it's her own decision or her father's.
However, the poverty that the country is experiencing and the impossibility of taking on a mortgage means that the younger generation (especially men) are starting to consider other ways of getting married.
