You may feel a bit stressed on the morning of your wedding, so it might take pressure off if you hire a professional make-up artist. By having your make-up done by a professional you have time to relax and enjoy the time before the wedding.

If you decide to book a professional make-up artist, you will need to arrange a make-up trial before the big day. The trial will usually happen anything from 1 to 6 months before the wedding day. The trial is very important so the make-up artist can get to know you, your style and your wedding theme. It is also helpful to select some photos of make-up looks you like and think about make-up ideas before the trial. It is very important you get a make-up look that suits your skin type, features and face shape. But don't forget to be yourself, just because it's your wedding day it doesn't mean you have to wear loads of make-up!
If you do decide to do your make-up yourself, visit make-up counter’s to get some make-up ideas and advice on products, MAC cosmetics have great products and there artists are specially trained so will be able to help you create/learn how to create the look you are after. You can now also take a look at YouTube, there are so many tutorials showing you have to achieve different bridal looks. Practise makes perfect so remember to practise the look before the big day.
If you are getting married abroad you maybe interested to know that most make-up artist now offer make-up lessons. Taking a make-up lesson before the big day will help you learn how to create your perfect look that you will be able to recreate yourself. They will also offer advice on products suited to warmer climates.
Getting the correct skin care regime in place before the wedding is important. Try not to change your skin care too close to the wedding as there is always a risk that your skin may react or break out while it's adapting to the change. If you are thinking of having an intensive treatment you should always consultant a trained beautician. I recommend drinking lots of water, this will help your skin become clearer and your eyes look brighter.
I will be offering advice on all aspects of wedding make-up in my articles. This will include anything from airbrushing make-up to how to get the prefect brows for your big day.
