Tips to Choose a Menu for the Wedding Banquet

One of the most complicated decisions you'll need to make for the wedding is undoubtedly finding the perfect place for the ceremony. But it is just as important to select a menu that best suits your budget, tastes and needs. Here are some tips to h

Assuming you have already booked the venue of your dreams for the wedding banquet, now you just need to choose a menu that makes this day even more memorable and enjoyable, not only for yourselves, but for the guests.  Do not miss the details in the advice we are offering you below:

  • First and foremost, you must have an approximate number of guests in mind who will be attending the ceremony and banquet.
  • We recommend that you also offer up a banquet cocktail for your guests, so no one will get tired of waiting for the photo session to end.  Of course, keep in mind that if the cocktails are too heavy or rich, you will have to choose a lighter menu or much of the food and money you paid will go to waste.
  • Depending on whether it is lunch or dinner, some dishes are more appropriate for one or the other, lighter for dinner and heavier for lunch, for example.

  • The season also influences the richness and weight of the food, so for a Summer wedding when people generally eat less, choose a light weight meal.
  • All products should be of top quality.  This is one of the happiest days of your life and the food has to keep up with the standard too.
  • Think of dishes that appeal to most guests.  We all know that there are certain foods that most people tend to like and others that many dislike. Avoid including those commonly disliked foods in your menu if you don't want full dishes to be taken back to the kitchen at the end.
  • Create a children's menu.  Children are not attracted to elaborate, complex dishes with many ingredients.  Think of something that they can enjoy too when choosing the main course.
  • Finally, it is important that you have in mind who and how many guests are vegetarian, vegan, have allergies to certain foods, are celiacs, etc...

If you follow these tips, you will be sure to have a menu that can please everyone and have the wedding of your dreams.  A full guest is a happy guest!
