Information about The Glasshouse Hotel
Home to Edinburgh’s only rooftop garden is The Glasshouse Hotel. Rightly named, it provides a majestic view to the tranquil scenery just outside its walls through its renowned Observatory and many patios and verandas. Not to mention its literary and historic pride with ties to some of the great Scottish authors, such as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and its prior life as a beloved church. All its beauty is happily available to all couples awaiting their big day.
Facilities and Capacity
The bride and groom can exchange their vows in front of up to 110 guests under the flower ornamented pergolas on their summery green lawns or in their one-of-a-kind garden. Inside, the Observatory room is also available, which overlooks the soothing setting, or else the Henderson Gallery, which holds the original magnificent church windows.
Breakfast or evening buffets may be served upon your request. Sparkling wine is offered to your blissful guests. Glass bowls with candles can be provided for classic decoration in addition to place cards, white chair covers, and organza ties.
While the lovely couple gets a deluxe room as well as a congratulatory Scottish breakfast the next day, your guests will enjoy their own rooms. Each will have large, open windows, full-size beds, fresh Egyptian cotton lines, and exquisite bathrooms.
