About

Northwood House is a lovely mansion venue located in its own gardens and park, in the renowned yachting town of Cowes on the Isle of Wight. It has a history of throwing lavish parties in the Victorian era, with its lovely backdrops overlooking the Solent. This venue makes for a tranquil rustic setting for the big day that you and your loved ones will remember forever.

Facilities and capacity

The facilities found at this mansion include six main function rooms which can be hired depending on the number of guests you will be expecting on the big day. The Ballroom, with marvellous views, can accommodate up to 120 guests for a sit down reception and 240 guests at a more casual event. The Dining Room is separated from the Ballroom by large wooden shutters enabling these two suites to be opened out into one larger space. The Drawing Room is excellent for civil weddings and can seat up to 60 guests. There are French windows to the lawns –a perfect place for wedding pictures and drinks receptions after the ceremony. The Morning Room is ideal for up to 20 guests.

Services offered

Whether you hold your civil wedding ceremony at Northwood House or you are thinking of getting married somewhere else, you will enjoy exclusive use of their function suites for your wedding reception. Be it a close gathering to a much larger celebration, they will help you make your big day special in every way in order to suit all your specific requirements.

Cuisine

All About Catering will organise your event within the house and its grounds. This business is popular in the region for offering outstanding food, premium service and event co-ordination. They can provide anything from finger buffets and hog roasts to a la carte fine dining options.

We hired the Libary & the Drawing rooms for our wedding and sit down meal, the staff are amazing, accommodating and very professional, yet down to earth so easy to talk to. The house is wonderful and suitable for any event big or small.

We live in the Midlands, not in the Isle of Wight, and they sorted everything out for us via email, text and telephone, and the day was amazing from start to finish.

Thank to the staff at Northwood House. We would highly recommend the place to anyone.
