Ford Green Hall is an ode to the 17th century and is complete with textiles, ceramics and furniture of the time. This venue is family friendly and offers a step back in time that will be enjoyed by guests of all ages. The gorgeous grounds and unique structure are sure to aid in making this celebration one not to be forgotten by you or your friends and family for years to come.
Facilities and capacity
This venue is perfect for more intimate celebrations of up to 30 of your friends and family. Your guests will enter through the Porch, the ceremony will take place in the Main Hall, the Parlour is available for the signing of the registrar and the Reception Area provides space for a drinks and appetizers afterwards. The picturesque gardens created in 1996 to model a classic 17th century garden, provide the perfect backdrop for important wedding photographs.
Along with room hire and personal service on your special day, options for live or recorded period music, real confetti, 17th century style food and a commemorative plate are available. The Hall is available for exclusive use on Fridays and Saturdays.
There is not enough room to hold a whole reception at the Hall but simply a light buffet of refreshments is possible along with drinks. A selection of marzipan fruits, honeynuts, dried figs, dates, apples, apricots and peaches, spiced nuts including peanuts, almonds and cashews, strawberries, grapes, oatcake, biscuits and cheeses are available.
This venue was originally built in 1624 as a farmhouse and is a rare survival of Stoke-on-Trent’s pre-industrial past. The Hall, where all ceremonies are now hed, was often the main area of the house. The most important activities of that time took place in this space.
